Whether by foot, by bus, or by bike, explore an integration of the arts in Victoria!
The Integrate Arts Festival (formerly known as “Off the Grid Arts Festival”) was developed in 2006. The event included an en masse art crawl (a movement in large groups from gallery space to gallery space) and acted as a celebration of small galleries, artist-run centres and alternative arts. In its years of existence, the Arts Festival has grown in leaps and bounds. In 2012 the project was re-branded as the Integrate Arts Festival and was incorporated as a society – the Integrate Art Society. As of 2018, we are now in our 12th year.
HOW IT WORKS
The Integrate Arts Festival map will guide the public to a variety of exhibitions and events at participating galleries, publicly accessible studios, and various sites throughout the city. You can access the map using the Integrate brochure (found at participating locations) as well as the standard and mobile website views on your smartphone. A bus is provided on Saturday evening to circulate participants throughout the Victoria area (stops are marked on the map and with signs on the street), and a family-friendly bike tour will lead participants on Sunday afternoon for optimal enjoyment of the Festival. Be sure to join us in the Market Square courtyard from 12 - 4 for art demonstrations and music from local artists!
COST
Everything is FREE! All participating galleries, parties, events and performances are all free during the festival crawl. Some public galleries will revert to admission fees or 'by donation' on the second day.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
