Groove is timeless, but like anything else in this world, groove is undergoing constant change and evolution. Few musical acts are working as hard to bridge these evolutionary leaps as New Orleans’ powerhouse THE SOUL REBELS. Through their fantastic records, their interesting collaborations (with artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Trombone Shorty and Lil Wayne), and their world-renowned live performances, The Soul Rebels have built lasting bridges between the worlds of New Orleans big brass, down and dirty funk and the pulsing rhythms of hip-hop.
To help Garden City Grooves celebrate Black History Month, The Soul Rebels will be part of a FREE workshop where they will be discussing the musical and cultural history of their beloved home city New Orleans and their own history as a band, as well as possibly laying down something special for those in attendance. Whether you’re a musician who wants to learn some tricks from serious masters of the craft, or just a fan who wants to get a glimpse inside the music you love, please come join us for this incredibly unique opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the hottest touring bands in North America!
In addition to this free worshop The Soul Rebels will be closing Garden City Grooves with their performance on Sunday, February 27th at White Eagle Hall with guests Gabriel Teodros and DJ Abel. Doors: 7:30pm Tickets available on ticketweb.ca here 👉 https://bit.ly/3re1nxS
