Garden City Grooves is a grassroots community event originally founded by local promoters and groove afficionados, Nathan Ambrose and Groovin’ Reuven Sussman
Garden City Grooves is now presented by the Victoria BC Ska and Reggae Society
. The aim of GCG is to celebrate groove in all of its many forms (soul, funk, afrobeat, world and latin). While other larger local festivals may include one or two acts from these genres in their line-up, GCG celebrates this music in all of its forms and aims to discover acts from right in our own backyard and from across Canada, the Pacific Northwest and even the world. Spread over two days, four venues and four events, expect harmonious horn sections, pulsating percussion, formidable funk and dynamic rhythms from all over the world.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
