Event Description

Sarah Jane Scouten, Canadian Folk Music Awards nominee, has a signature flair for the roots of roots music, ranging from Western-swing, honky-tonk, and Cajun to Appalachian string band music with a hint of the Maritimes in her performance.

She is touring with her country band, The Honky Tonk Wingmen (from Toronto: Ben Plotnick, James McEleney and Sly Juhas). They'll be playing original material from The Cape, songs from her upcoming EP release on vinyl, plus selected archival songs from southern BC and Alberta. The band's take on classic country moves this songwriter's distinctive sound in an exciting new direction.
