THE SHOW
"BROKEN WORD" - A passionate one hour discussion about how feminist equality will NEVER happen until woman fully embrace a man's inherent monkeyness. More than a comedy show, an interactive experience. During heated debates, the crowd is encouraged to yell out, throw stuffed animals and shoot rubber bands , even come on stage and discuss things further.
not to mention the "Bad Girls" in corsettes and frilly things walking around getting the crowd riled into a lather!
THE BUZZ
2003 Fringe Review - Vancouver Sun
"Packard is a brilliant, fearless, ruthlessly funny sociologist/psychiatrist of a comic who disects his audiences as minutely as himself. He will cure you. First he will make you sick. But then he will cure you."
I've called him arrogant and acid tongued. I now add he is one of the most charismatic, passionate, funny standup (sit-down) comics I've seen. Someday he will be famous. See him now while priciest thing about his show is your beverage .
-Alan Hindle, VANCOUVER SUN
DEFRINGING THE FRINGE
Fringe shows are about alternative performance in off-beat settings. BROKEN WORD, by playing at the very plush and upscale Crush Champagne Lounge is bringing edgy entertainment to a whole new crowd.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
