There are two divisions within the Academy’s program of instruction: the Preparatory Division for preschool and school-age students and adults, and the College Division for students preparing for a performance career.
The Academy of Music offers a Performer's Certificate to high school graduates, an Artist Diploma for those individuals who hold a Bachelor of Music Degree, and a curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Music Degree through the Thompson Rivers University—Open Learning (TRU).
Students enrolled in the College Division take all their music courses at the Academy; language courses, including English, and non-music electives are taken through the TRU. Although the Academy and TRU remain independent of each other, the two institutions work together to offer a complete professional music program, thereby making available to the Academy’s students the total resources of a professional music school and an academically accredited university.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
