About

Volcanoless In Canada

Label: Independent
since circa 2006
The Volcanoless in Canada project has been brooding and formulating in jam spots across Saskatchewan for over three years. Spearheaded by long-time friends Mitch Lysak (Guitar), Joel Hryniuk (Guitar) and Kyle Kobylka (Drums), Volcanoless arose out of the depletion of their previous act, Things Better Left Unsaid of which acquired notable attention across Western Canada. Together with members Enver Hampton (Bass) and Levi Soulodre (Guitar) Volcanoless strives to combine precise rhythms and intricate melodies with the general appeal and high-paced energy of modern rock music. Volcanoless in Canada bases its main principal on the co-ordination of the three guitarists. Three acoustic guitars play different and separate melody lines while still staying in the rhythmical domain set by the bass and drums combo. Through this original concept, Volcanoless genre can be stretched across a wide musical spectrum; touching elements of rock, alternative, folk, country, punk and dance. Volcanoless in Canada has only begun playing shows as a fully developed band. However, their first steps into the performance world have been met with great success, having sold out their first three shows (thanks to a big help from Myspace) and having played with great Canadian indie acts such as Sylvie (Smallman Records), Geronimo (ex-Despistado), Kincade, and Avarice to Lace. Volcanoless produced & recorded their first full-length studio album with Byron Chambers of Activate Studios, Regina, Sk. The album is now available in select stores in Saskatoon and Yorkton, as well as at our performances!
