Enjoy a family-focused weekend of Scottish and Celtic art, culture, dance, music and sport - the largest and oldest in Western Canada! This year we are hosting an INTERNATIONAL HEAVY EVENTS CHAMPIONSHIP, with some of the world's best athletes (men and women) performng the caber toss and other exciting events! We have an inaugural "Games Extravaganza" on Saturday evening featuring the Lord Strathcona Mounted horse Troop, along with a variety of music and dance performers. Also hosting the Canadian Drum Major Championships, HEMA Internation Sword and Blade Tournament and the Strongman Challenge. Other highlights include Pipe bands (including Grade 1 Simon Fraser University Pipe Band), highland dancing and Irish dancing, agility dogs, falconry, gaelic football and hurling, haggis hurling, tug of war, sword fighting and military demonstrations, Celtic music bands and Scottish/Celtic vendors. Three beer gardens and whisky and wine school for adults. FREE admission for children under 12 . Large FREE Childrens Entertainment Area.
