Attend any performance by The Johnson Brothers and you'll get the urge to do some two-steppin'. Traditional country music is something that The Johnson Brothers love to play. Brett, Trent, Jason and Ken all grew up listening to the great country artists of the 50's, 60's & 70's and that is reflected in the music that The Johnson Brothers perform today. The Johnson Brothers are quickly becoming the band to see in BC if you want to hear real country music.
Along with several original songs, their repertoire ranges from the traditional sounds of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings to contemporary artists like Toby Keith, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. They can also crank it up with some classic Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bon Jovi, AC/DC and Bryan Adams. A unique showcase of Charlie Daniels fiddle tunes completes The Johnson Brothers show. They can best be described as having a country feel with a rock attitude.
Over the years, Brett and Trent have had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with many great Canadian country artists such as Aaron Pritchett, Ridley Bent, Rick and Elmer Tippe, The Good Brothers and Karen-Lee Batten. They have performed at several prestigious events including the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, BCCMA Hall of Fame and Award Shows, CCMA Stampede Showcase, Keepin’ Country Alive II, Abbotsford Agrifair and the CMT Merritt Walk of Stars Weekend. They organized and staged the ”Country Has Heart” charity event in 2008, 2009 and 2010 which has raised closer $10,000.00 for the BC and Yukon Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Johnson Brothers have had the honor of being nominated for several BCCMA Awards over the years including three nominations this year.
