South Island Harmony

Hours: Practice: 7pm to 9pm most Tuesdays of the year
since 1968
The Chorus has been constantly active since its founding in 1968. Our music features soaring voices, ringing chords, and thrilling close harmony, and we strive for excellence in a fun, challenging, and supportive environment. Our uplifting repertoire includes Broadway Standards, The American Song Book, Blues, Pop, Rock and Roll, inspirational songs, and Barbershop favourites.

We take pride in serving, and making a positive contribution to, our community. One of or missions is to form strong partnerships with school choral groups, music educators, and their organizations.

We regularly participate in community events and present highly popular shows, with main performances in the Spring and at Christmastime. In addition, Chorus members have formed quartets which also perform all year round. Each February, our quartets deliver love and harmony via Singing Valentines to loved ones, sweethearts, friends and neighbours.

South Island Harmony meets and practices in Gordon Head most Tuesdays of the year and we warmly welcome visitors and prospective members.

For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.

For online / livestream events. This will allow you to include a livestream url and have it featured in our livestream listings.

For events that run over a range of consecutive dates. i.e. Art show, museum show etc.
