Inevitable, perhaps, but no less welcome for it, Dweezil Zappa is one rock star offspring who has inherited at least some his legendary parent’s talent. In his day, Frank Zappa was one of the most highly regarded composers, musicians and performers in rock, beloved by peers and a cult-like devoted fanbase who followed his every studio release, live show and bootleg. One of the most underrated, yet influential musicians of the 20th century, Frank’s legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of both older and newer generations of music lovers everywhere.
In tribute to his father, guitarist Dweezil Zappa—talented actor, VJ, guitarist, and composer in his own right—embarked this past spring on a tour that brought the music of Frank Zappa to audiences across Europe for the first time since Frank’s untimely death in 1993. Now, Dweezil is doing the same for North America, along with some young, hand-picked players as well as special guests and legendary Zappa alumni such as Steve Vai, Terry Bozzio, and Napolean Murphy Brock. Don’t miss this very special night that promises to be a celebration of one of the most pivotal musicians of the last century.
