Event Description

Join us on the first Thursday of every month for an unforgettable evening celebrating raw talent and original music! We’re shining the spotlight on three handpicked local singer-songwriters, each bringing their unique voice, stories, and sound to the stage. Whether you're a music lover, a fellow artist, or just looking for an inspiring night out, this is your chance to experience the soul of our city—one song at a time. Come and support the magic of live, local music.

Matt Geebes

Mathew Geddes is a Canadian songwriter known for intimate, emotive vocals and lyrics delivered with clarity and intent. Built on rhythmic acoustic guitar and a natural sense of groove, his music draws from alt-folk and roots influences, shaped by travel, curiosity, and lived experience.

This year marks the release of two full-length albums. The first, The Exquisite Dream, arrives with alt-rock band Door d’Or, where Geddes takes center stage on vocals and rhythm guitar, revealing a raw, energized side in songs that dispel darkness and move towards something luminous. His solo debut, The Gedi Night, follows in the fall—spanning pop to country, unified by themes of the human journey, expressed with honesty, feeling, and a quiet sense of optimism.

At its core, his work is about connection—voice, lyric, and feel, held together in their simplest form.

Sugarlump

Brent “Sugarlump” Applegath is a slide-guitar playing storyteller whose original tunes and reimagined covers are steeped in the soul of the blues, country, folk and jazz. With a sound reminiscent of John Prine, Lowell George and Ry Cooder, Sugarlump isn’t just playing songs – he’s weaving tales. Expect originality, charm and a touch of the unexpected. Perhaps, his show is best described as "back porch blues meets kitchen party"

Shannon Sargent

Shannon fills her creative cup by giving life to her experiences through song. A Victoria local, she uses her gritty folk style to tell a tale of heartbreak, hope and all the in between. She is excited to take you through this musical landscape of delightful stories - the perfect excuse to let your mind wander for a while.
