Event Description

Tha CAMBIE BAR on Esquimalt rd. was absolutely packed with patrons coming to see DOUBLE DIAMOND'S debut performance. The roo sizzled with a VEGAS style performance with Bill Zaalberg as Neil Diamond backed up with a grand 10 piece orchestra, all Victoria, BC musicians. The group conains a 4 piece brass section, 2 female backup vocalists, and a tight 4 piece standard band. They are all seasoned musicians and perform in other groups of their own on other occasions. This night however, placed the CAMBIE PUB on the map. Door sales exceeded 400 with no room left on the dance floor. Featutered artist Bill Zaalberg felt that this was the beginning of some great things to come.
