Event Description

Awesome blues guitarist, accomplished singer, an inspired interpreter of other peoples’ material, and a fine songwriter herself, Bonnie Raitt is a singular talent.

Souls Alike, her 18th album (she released her self-titled debut in 1971), sees Bonnie stretching out by helping produce it herself, along with Tchad Blake. Recorded with her longtime touring band, the disc includes the Grammy-nominated lead single “I Will Not Be Broken”, and debut at #19 on the Billboard album chart. Shortly after the release of Souls Alike, Bonnie was selected as the inaugural artist in the CD/DVD series VH1 Classic Decades Rock Live!, which captures a Bonnie Raitt concert from 2005 and includes duets with Norah Jones, Ben Harper, Alison Kraus and Keb’ Mo’.

An artist with multiple Grammy nominations to her credit, Bonnie Raitt broke through in a big way with her 1989 album Nick of Time (now certified quintuple platinum). She has continued her winning streak with subsequent records like Luck of the Draw, Longing in Their Hearts, Fundamental, and Silver Lining, all of which have earned awards, critical accolades, and high chart positions. A committed road warrior, Bonnie’s touring schedule keeps her busy, bringing her fiery live shows to eager fans worldwide.
