Event Description

Cantabile pays tribute to the iconic artists that have shaped Canada's musical landscape and legacy. Joining the stage will be Kingston “folkestra” The Gertrudes, sharing original songs alongside hits from the country’s most celebrated singer-songwriters.

The Gertrudes are a dynamic folk band known for their eclectic blend of folk, rock, and experimental music. With a rich tapestry of instruments and harmonies, they create a unique and captivating sound that reflects both traditional and contemporary influences. The Gertrudes have garnered a dedicated following through their energetic live performances and innovative approach to music, making them a beloved fixture in the Kingston music scene.

Prepare to be enthralled by a diverse program that honours the Canadian voices that have defined generations: From Leonard, Joni, and Gordon to Shania, Drake, and Alanis.
