A six-piece folk rock outfit recreating the sound of Canadian group Blue Rodeo.
With Outskirts, you will be helping to celebrate the music of one of Canada’s nation treasures and musical institutions – Blue Rodeo.
Since 1984, 16 full-length albums, 4 live albums, a greatest hits album and countless concerts from coast to coast to coast, Blue Rodeo has been entertaining crowds and delivering their own brand of Canadian Music.
Opening the performance will be duo Eric Uren and Meghan Balogh.
Eric Uren has been performing in clubs and pubs across Canada and Europe for over 25 years. His straightforward, honest delivery of well-known songs by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Johnny Cash and Steve Earle connect with audiences of all ages. He is a warm and personable performer who excels at creating a friendly, social atmosphere wherever he takes the stage.
Meghan Balogh spent years studying classical piano and violin before delving into the world of Irish fiddle music. She grew up immersed in folk music, and currently plays fiddle and sings as a member of bands in Kingston and Prince Edward County including Seventh Town, The Gertrudes and No Great Mischief. She can be found playing for Irish Ceili dances around eastern Ontario with the Seventh Town Ceili Band (https://seventhtown.ca/ceili-band), and as a fixture with Kingston’s Irish session.
