Ardeshir Quartet

Event Description

"Influenced by greats like Cedar Walton and Horace Silver, the quartet is rooted in the jazz tradition. Their musical intention is to swing hard and play music driven by the blues. They will be playing music written by the great jazz composers, as well as arrangements of tunes from the great American songbook."


Ardeshir's Bio:
"Saxophonist Ardeshir Pourkeramati is one of Vancouver’s most active young musicians. Having relocated to Los Angeles the past year, he is pursuing a doctorate in jazz at the University of Southern California. His quartet is rooted in the jazz tradition and draws inspiration from a variety of musical influences. Joining him are his great friends and collaborators, pianist John Lee, bassist David Caballero, and drummer Graham Villette."
