Tyler Brett Forkes
Tyler Brett Forkes is a Kingston, Ontario-based singer / songwriter whose well-crafted original songs range in style from poignant storytelling to light-hearted blues numbers. Falling in the genre of “Americana,” his influences include John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Cat Stevens, Lucinda Williams and more.
Tyler is a crowd favourite and performs regularly in and around the Kingston area, as well as in Toronto, where he has opened for multiple Juno Award-winning songwriters, including Russell de Carle of Prairie Oyster, Canadian songwriting legend David Bradstreet, and bluesman Morgan Davis.
He’s been featured in West Rouge Life magazine in Toronto, and interviewed extensively on Wayne Vermette’s Blues Project program at CFRC Radio. Tyler is a founding member of the Old Stone Cottage Songwriters Circle in Toronto, and a member of Folk Music Ontario.
