Event Description
SingYourJoy Young Adult Chorus returns for another full season of singing for young adults aged 16 to 29. “SingYourJoy has a reputation for being a creative, welcoming space for young adults who are exploring their world more broadly,” says Co-Founder and Co-Director Gordon Miller, “discovering a place where you fit in is not easy sometimes and this group is fun, encouraging and accepting.”
Starting Monday, September 4th, SingYourJoy will welcome dozens of new singers as students return to fall classes at UVic and Camosun, newcomers to Canada explore local opportunities and others seek to express themselves through the arts. There are no fees nor auditions, just a commitment to be part of this welcoming community.
And that’s what SingYourJoy Young Adult Chorus does so well; welcome a diverse group of young adults into an inclusive safe space for making friends and growing community.
Created in 2011, SingYourJoy is a non-auditioned chorus of people ages 16-29. We rehearse at Oak Bay United (1355 Mitchell Street in Victoria – easy access with public transit) every Monday from 7pm to 9pm.
