Event Description
Saskatoon-based 24-year-old neo-soul musician Katie Tupper is a boundary-pushing, genre-defying writer/producer that aims to connect listeners across genres and generations. With captivating lyrics and blending indie and neo-soul, Tupper’s music appeals to a wide range of audiences, as heard on her latest 2022 EP, “Towards The End”, and singles “Woman No”, and “Comfort.” She unveiled her debut single, “Live Inside,” in 2021, and her second single, “How Can I Get Your Love?” rose to #7 in the CBC Music Top 20 chart. After starting to make music professionally in early 2018, Katie Tupper has only just begun, and with her recent critically-acclaimed EP and songs, this upcoming star continues to rise. “Saskatoon, Canada has given us the pigeon berries, female hockey players who won the gold in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and the ethereal neo-jazz voice of Katie Tupper… Listening, you ride the warm rhythm, transported at times to 90s hip hop, at other moments it feels like listening to an Allyn Ferguson or Charles Fox theme song.” – Beats Per Minute
