Event Description

Bruce Vogt, internationally acclaimed pianist, will showcase his extraordinary talent by performing a selection of classical masterpieces and other delightful works, including Clementi's Sonata in B-flat major — with a cadenza written by Vogt— Schubert's German Dances, Schubert's great Unfinished Sonata in C Major, and Chopin Mazurkas. Tenor Benjamin Butterfield and soprano Anne Grimm join Vogt in a duet version of Schubert’s Mignon Lied – sometimes translated as ‘None but the lonely heart’ and pianist Harald Krebs accompanies Vogt in a beautiful Schubert Rondo duet, written in the last year of Schubert’s life.

Bruce Vogt is a highly sought-after performer, renowned for his interpretation of classical music. He has performed as a soloist with major orchestras in North America, Europe, and Asia. Vogt's piano technique has been praised for its clarity, depth, and emotion.

Tickets can be purchased by phone (250-721-8000) through the Phoenix Theatre Box Office and at the door at the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall.
