The first results from the James Webb Space Telescope are already revolutionizing our understanding of the Universe and our place within it, revealing the youngest stars, the oldest galaxies, and water in the atmospheres of distant worlds. Canadians are playing a key role in leading these efforts, and much of this work is happening right here on Vancouver Island.
