Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival FREE Workshop series - King Yellowman
Friday, June 24 @ Victoria Curling Club Upper Lounge
3:30pm - 4:30pm
FREE, All ages
Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival is excited to announce the return of our Free Workshop Series, as we give the public a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get up close and personal with a true legend of reggae music, KING YELLOWMAN, as he joins us for a freewheeling discussion and, if there's time, a special Q&A period. With more than four decades of performning and releasing widely acclaimed (and often crossover) reggae and dancehall music, King Yellowman has held firm as one of the most legendary vocalists in the annals of Jamaican music – constantly sampled and endlessly beloved. Throughout his life and career, Yellowman and his music have stood as a shining example of the power of reggae - continuing to spread a message of peace, love and unity for all people regardless of colour, race, sexual orientation or identity. With such a rich cultural and personal legacy, an in-depth discussion with Yellowman promises to be a truly unique, unforgettable experience.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
