Event Description

The Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra will perform works from three beloved names in orchestral music for its final major concerts of the 2021/2022 season, the first full season with live performances since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

SPO music director Yariv Aloni will conduct the concerts on June 11 in Metchosin and June 12 in Sooke.

The orchestra will perform:

Holst’s Somerset Rhapsody, op. 21

Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A, K622

Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8 in G, op. 88

The Mozart concerto will feature up-and-coming clarinetist Alex Chernata one of the finalists of the SPO Don Chrysler Concerto Competition a few years back.

Sunday June 12, 2022, 2:30 PM Sooke Community Hall, 2037 Sheilds Rd, Sooke

Tickets are sold on Eventbrite on our website www.sookephil.ca

Also available to purchase at Little Vienna Bakery and Pharmasave in Sooke. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Tickets: $25 for adults; $20 for students and seniors, 18 and under are free
