Join us for the Victoria premiere of GIFT, an intimate exploration of real-life gift economies, at Cinecenta Theatre in Victoria, BC. Director Robin McKenna will be in attendance for the screenings.

No tickets sold in advance, box office opens 40 minutes before each showtime.

GIFT is the first feature documentary by filmmaker Robin McKenna. Inspired by Lewis Hyde’s beloved classic The Gift: Creativity and the Artist in the Modern World, GIFT is an intimate exploration of real-life gift economies, interweaving character‐driven stories from around the world. GIFT is a tribute to something that can’t be measured or counted, bought or sold. Exploring the parallels between artists’ work and a gift economy, it is a reflection on the creative process, the reasons we “labour in service of our gifts”, and a celebration of the imagination.
