Sacred Sounds: Vox Humana

Event Description

St. Andrew’s Cathedral is celebrating its 125th anniversary through a series of concerts during 2017. Our fifth concert features Vox Humana choir, under the direction of Brian Wismath, in a performance of Benjamin Britten’s “Hymn to St. Cecilia”, James MacMillan’s “Magnificat” and other sacred choral works by Herbert Howells (England), Ivan Hrušovský (Slovakia), Vincent Persichetti (USA), Arvo Pärt (Estonia), and Urmas Sisask (Estonia). The concert is Saturday, October 21st at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, 740 View Street (View at Blanshard). Tickets: $20, Free (25 and under).
