Event Description

Wired To The Sky
https://wiredtothesky.bandcamp.com/releases
Wired To The Sky is the newest project from Canadian songwriter Dylan Perkons. The singer takes his imaginative dark folk to new heights with the help of Pat McTaggart, Michael Van Lewis and Spencer “Nevada” Brown.
Mining the depths of roots rock with healthy doses of psychedelia and excursions into otherworldly blues, the group inhabits a space nestled somewhere between Townes Van Zandt via Our Mother the Mountain, Crazy Horse guitar freak-outs and Exile-era Stones. Taking equal inspiration from the great storytellers of Nashville and the weird, wild psyche of 60s California, Wired To The Sky combine a vast array of influences to deliver a sound that is both rooted in tradition and forward in ambition.

Tan and Hide are a Vancouver Island born trio consisting of Jake winter on guitar and vocals, Kevin parks on drums and Evan Cheadle on the bass. Their music is folky, hard hitting and rockin, yet punctuated by sweet and soulful vocals with catchy instrumentals and lyrically driven songs that will get you thinking, Tan and Hide will take you to a dusty place out west with there music and will have you tapping your toes and out of your seat in no time.

On the banjo, fiddle, and acoustic guitar, The Blackwood Two play an engaging blend of original folk songs and traditional numbers delivered with old-time charm. Thoughtful songwriting – heavily guided by a mutual fascination of traditional music – drives the duo’s unique, yet familiar feeling sound. Warm tones and sunny melodies whisper cosmic hints from a bygone era.
