When he's not pondering just how dope his moniker is, Victoria's Grossbuster is making beats. And we don't mean just "in the studio"- this fella works his midi controller and proceeds to bash out the riddims live. It's a sight to behold and an amazing mix of drums and samples to hear.
Take a mad stack of rare tapes and boil them down in the brain basin, rinse ’em through the rhythm veins, and fire em’ off through rapid fingertips. Grossbuster blasts an injection of the raw and analogue into a dose of dance music rarely heard on island time.
Grossbuster’s live electronic performances are second to none. A classically trained pianist, known for his ability to synchronize beats to cultivate live sets, Grossbuster has seen an explosion of notoriety with the release of his album Singularity; which held number one spots on both the Top 30 Charts at college radio stations throughout the country. A familiar face across the Pacific Northwest, due in part to a slew of tours in 2014, he has been nominated as a Top Electronic Artist (by M Awards Victoria) in addition to gracing stages at festivals like Tall Tree, Rifflandia, and Victoria Ska Festival among others.
