Event Description
Reverie is a trio composed of founding members, Holly Hurwood, Nicola Hestnes, and Stephanie Benbow. Born and raised in Sidney, B.C. the girls have been playing music their whole lives, joining together in the Spring of 2011 to from Reverie. All three members have been involved with the Parkland Secondary high school concert band and many other school based music programs like Jazz Band, Choir and musical theatre.
Reverie has played throughout Sidney and the Victoria area: busking on the streets of Sidney, on the warm summer days, at Resthaven Lodge, the Victoria Folk Music Society and many fundraising events. Their music is folk infused and stylistic of the "singer songwriter" genre, with pop-like hooks. They layer their harmonies to create a whole new sound to their original music, and covers of their favourite songs. Throughout their time together, they have learnt from each other, and expanded their musical perspectives: learning new instruments, songs and stylistic qualities. Reverie plays for the love of music, and meets regularly to prepare their music and share it with their audiences.
