As the producer of shows such as “Vancouver Island’s Got Talent”, “Ladies of Gospel”, “Ladies of Jazz” and “Ladies of Blues”, I would like to inform you of an exciting show; The Victoria Gospel Festival September 19th and 20th at the Alix Goolden Hall. A first for Victoria!!
The 2 day event (1600 people expected for the 2 day performance), is a fundraiser for The Victoria Conservatory of Music’s Music Therapy Program. Music Therapy is the skillful use of music as a therapeutic tool to restore, maintain, and improve mental, physical, and emotional health. The non-verbal, creative, and affective nature of music facilitates contact, learning, self-expression, communication and growth. The VCM’s Music Therapy sessions meet the needs of children as young as 18 months old, to the elderly; those of all ages with exceptionalities, conditions, or illnesses, and to improve the quality of life for all.
