Event Description
Così fan tutte is one of Mozart’s most beloved operas. It’s a story about love and fidelity. Two young men are discussing their girlfriends – their beauty, their wit, and their fidelity. Don Alfonso, their older, wiser, and more cynical friend, tells them there is no such thing as a faithful woman. It almost comes to blows, but they settle on a bet instead – if pressed, will the two girlfriends remain faithful? The results are both hilarious and touching, and offer lessons on love for audiences today as much as for those in Mozart’s time.
