Event Description

Come join us Saturday night at everybody's favourite groovy vaudevillian drinking den with four classy acts for a mere $10!

Isobel Trigger:

A female fronted four piece, Isobel Trigger delivers dynamic, high energy performances filled with pounding beats and catchy, expressive melodies. Fusing alternative-rock and pop with spellbinding sonic textures; this group's energetic style is reminiscent of No Doubt mashed with Florence and the Machine (with a spot of synth and a dash more distortion that is). Get ready to dance!

Mercy Years:
Born out of Vancouver’s coffee scene, Mercy Years is a collaboration from parts of British Columbia, the Canadian Prairies and London, England. Euphoric melodies and driving rhythms reflect their expansive origins; hints of the UK post-punk scene are melded with Cascadian indie-rock textures resulting in a stirring wall of sound.

The Oceanographers:

Blending an expansive sound with both pop and progressive compositions, the bands song writing philosophy can be summed up by the statement that “less is more”. James’ melodic lead lines slice through a rhythmic center held down by Matt Prior’s tasteful bass and Sean Jantzi’s dynamic drumming. Finally, Clayton anchors the four-piece with his memorable chord progressions and emotional vocals.

Kristen Karma:

Canada’s latest edgy pop sensation, Kristen Karma, is bustin’ out into the pop/rock music scene with a vengeance. Utilizing simple, yet focused melodies combined with driving beats, she’s created a lush sonic sound that’s all her own.
