Jenny Whiteley's roots are planted firmly in bluegrass music. She and her brother, Dan, are often credited with starting the roots music revival in Toronto in the 1990's, with their band Heartbreak Hill and their seminal weekly High Lonesome Wednesdays gig at The Silver Dollar. After that band broke up, Jenny started recording albums under her own name. Remarkably, her first two records won Juno awards, for Roots Traditional Album of the Year.
Jenny's live show is a riot of hot licks (thanks to husband Joey Wright's guitar and mandolin work), hilarity (thanks to on stage banter and flat out jokes and stories from Jenny), and seriously great songwriting! Jenny has been called "Alison Krauss in a leather jacket." Don't miss this rare chance to see Jenny with a full band.
