Richie's grandfather played piano for silent movies, and his mother was a school music teacher. Richie was lucky enough to inherit some of these music genes and has strummed guitar since his youth. In the 70's he blew a large bore trumpet for a brass section in a cover rock band. After his on-the-beach hippy phase he mixed sound professionally on and near Vancouver Island - his birthplace. Richie has rafted through Fraser River's Hell's Gate Canyon, fished in West Coast gales - and has lived to tell the tale. He now enjoys more relaxed Island living and plays guitar.
MUSICIAN'S COMMENTS:
'I enjoy almost all music genres and particularly like jazz and blues. My current favorite song is 'Make it Smooth' which I wrote for guitar, saxophones and vocals on the Zoom Zoom CD.' - RICHIErichieRichie
