If Serge Gainsbourg, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Billie Holiday all hung out together one night and wrote tunes, they might sound something like Mimosa’s concoctions—an original bag of samba grooves, sky-high improvisations, and captivating melodies and lyrics. With Rebecca Shoichet vocals, Anna Lumiere keyboards/left hand bass, Karen Graves sax/flute, Nick Apivor percussion.
