Melanie Furtado

Melanie Furtado is a contemporary realist sculptor working in Victoria BC. She works with live models to create portraits and figures in clay that are rooted in traditional techniques and draw inspiration from the human experience.

Melanie graduated from Victoria College of Art in April 2011 with a Fine Arts Diploma and Certification in Mold-Making & Casting.

She currently teaches classes in figurative sculpture out of her studio in downtown Victoria.
