MAN MADE MOUNTAINS - With feet planted firmly in primordial metal, Man Made Mountains blows the lid off the Mixmaster with an aural load of crunchy riffs, floaty keyboards and dual vocals pureed into a diverse blend of classic and progressive metal. The band is a genre jumping powerhouse with hints of tribal death metal, alternative rock reminiscent of Jane's Addiction, and a dash of psychedelic rock similar to early Pink Floyd. Their massive riffs and pounding rhythms are loaded with energy and aggression, yet there's plenty of industrial, prog, gothic and groove elements to be heard as well as moments of stark tranquility.
