Sandy D'Acey (Lead Vocals),
Sandy brings years of experience as lead vocalist for touring acts. She fronts The Hit List with a natural and engaging presence, always establishing a rapport with our audiences.
Sandy spent a decade on the road with the country band Uptown Rider and was named Alberta’s Rising Star of the Year. She performed aboard Princess Cruise Lines in Europe where she expanded her repertoire to include pop and classic rock. She fronted Fun In The Front Seat, one of Alberta’s most sought after acts on the corporate event circuit and has performed in casinos, theatre halls and convention centers from Las Vegas to Nashville to Shanghai.
Suzanne van Assum (Vocals & Keyboards),
Suzanne gives The Hit List our distinctive harmonies and also takes the lead on several songs. She fills out our sound with keyboards and rhythm instruments. Suzanne has been actively performing around Victoria with bands and duos for the last 20 years.
Dean Caplan (Keyboards & Vocals),
Dean is a multiple award-winning and Juno award-nominated keyboardist, composer, songwriter, and musical director. He has performed extensively throughout North America, Australia, and New Zealand, writing and playing with members of such popular Canadian bands as The Northern Pikes, Motherlode and the Lincolns. His bands have shared the bill at country music festivals with legends such as Reba McEntire, Glen Campbell, Hoyt Axton, and Asleep at the Wheel.
Dean’s 45+ year career has spanned many genres, from studio session player, orchestras and musical theatre, to jazz and swing, country, rock and pop bands. He has co-written three Canadian top 20 hits, songs for musical theatre as well as dozens of jingles and instrumental pieces.
Andy Carr (Bass),
For the last decade, Andy has been laying down the groove for the country band Montgomery County and most recently for Analog. An experienced stage performer, Andy has played many corporate, private, speedway and government events, sharing the stage at festivals such as Sunfest and other festivals with the likes of Aaron Pritchett and George Canyon.
David Liebe (Drums),
David has performed steadily since the early 1980’s, both for musical theatre and rock and funk bands. His band TRIP played club gigs, weddings, and corporate parties for ten years in Vancouver, with stops at The Roxy and The Arts Club Theatre. Prior to that he was with The Road, the house band for The Marine Club. David’s studio credits include drumming on the solo album by producer and veteran session musician Kat Hendrikse (Heart, Paul Horn, Michael Buble).
He has also been active with the African drumming community and founded the Spanish Banks drum circle, a Vancouver institution that has been running for nearly 30 years.
Charlie Paluch (Guitar),
A 40-year veteran of Vancouver Island’s music scene, Charlie has been the guitarist for classic rock bands such as Slingshot, Back Trax, Triple Shot, Barney Rebble, The Non-Commitments and Analog.
He has been playing country / rock for the last 14 years with Montgomery County, taking the stage at the Sunfest Country Music Festival, as well as sharing a stage with George Canyon and Aaron Pritchett.
