Hartman is a Kingston-based hip hop recording artist who has been releasing music for a number of years under his RedRecordingGreen Label/Collective. He has been honing his craft throughout Ontario, performing at countless open mics before graduating to hosting and headlining his own shows in the City of Kingston.
Brining a throw-back style with a new school twist, Hartman got his start on SoundCloud, recording off a laptop and a $20 microphone in his friend's bedroom. Over the years, the studio equipment improved as well as the focus and vision for hip hop. After graduating high school, Hartman put out two full-length studio albums: Lost File($) in 2019 and Degenerate($) in 2021.
After the release of Lost File($) and Degenerate($) Hartman shifted his focus to bring a string of singles to life. With releases including the west coast inspired Escape Mind (https://ampl.ink/JbRY6), the soul sample themed Keep Me Company (https://ampl.ink/NG84R) and a trilogy of singles with Kingston based engineer Sean Tomalty in The Dead Don't Sleep (https://ampl.ink/re90b), Murray and Mitchell (https://ampl.ink/Ll4XY) and Days Go By (https://ampl.ink/Ll4XY).
These days, if Hartman is not locked away in his home studio, he is out promoting an upcoming show. Whether it be the ongoing freestyle series, Rap Life, on YouTube, or putting work on a new album, the 24 year-old MC seems to always have an ace up his sleeve.
