Amethyst
since circa 1991
Once upon a time five gents from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario decided to form a rock band. Fortunately for music directors from Vancouver to Labrador they did just that. Talk about giving the Canadian music scene a well-deserved "kick in the ass". They play straight-forward aggressive rock'n'roll but here's the catch: They don't wear hair spray or spandex. Now isn't that a refreshing change? After a first listen to their CD (Innocent as hell), I knew Amethyst was definitely a diverse band to be reckoned with.
