One afternoon, two outstanding duos! Swedish trumpeter Magnus Broo has his own unique sound: a wild rhythmic and melodic imagination combined with sincerity and warmth. He has been collaborating in duo for some time with his Atomic/School Days colleague, the brilliant Norwegian drummer Paal Nilssen-Love. Clarinetist François Houle has established himself as one of Canada’s finest musicians in all of the diverse musical spheres he embraces: classical, jazz, new music, improvised, and world music. He has worked with Marilyn Crispell, Myra Melford, Ab Baars, Georg Gräwe, and others. One of the most acclaimed pianists in Norway, Håvard Wiik plays with Atomic and Free Fall, and he has collaborated with Håkon Kornstad, Kenny Wheeler, and Lee Konitz.
