Earthquaking breakdowns, apocalyptic vocals, soaring melodies, incendiary solos.
This is the mission statement of Two Years And Counting.
Pulling their name from the idea of "impending doom" in 2012, and their all common love of zombie and disaster films, Two Years And Counting was formed in 2010. Guitarist Brad Davis, moved to Victoria, B.C. from Hollywood CA after attending Musicians Institute. Immediately wanting to put a new project together, he was introduced to (singer/songwriter) Douglas Hahn. Still needing like-minded individuals, Brad and "Dougie" had a conversation with a good friend Mike Higgins, who mentioned some friends of his who attended the same bar they all frequented. Clayton Rourke (rhythm guitar), and Julien Ryhorchuk (bass guitar), Brad Davis (lead guitar), and Dougie (vocals). Still needing a drummer, Clayton and Julien had the perfect man in mind. After a quick call up island, Josh Christensen was driving two hours each way for practice every weekend. As things were starting to go well, Dougie Hahn left the band for personal reasons, moving to Ottawa. Left in the same old situation, Two Years And Counting not wanting to find just "another gun for hire", decided to move on as a four piece. Feeling unsatisfied and continuing to make friends as a band, Two Years And Counting stumbled across Adam Mienicki. Good chemistry existed and with room to grow, he finalized the line up.
