Tracy McMenemy

Tracy McMenemy is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist born in Belfast, N. Ireland. McMenemy’s current base in a long practice of location-specific art making is Victoria, BC.  
 
McMenemy bridges painting, photography, projection, installation and sculpture, and incorporates a range of techniques such as fumage, objet trouvé, and photographic transfer. She integrates artistic residency, field research, and work with museums through an investigative revealing and retelling of our historic and cultural narratives. She initiates her practice through site-specific travel and field research.

Beyond her work with museums, galleries and archives, McMenemy has a variety of private and corporate collectors in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. She represented Canada at EXPO 2021, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with her Folded Earth series in the Canadian Pavilion. Her work is in the Global Affairs Canada Visual Art Collection.
