The Twisters

This past summer, the Twisters released their 5th recording entitled Come Out Swingin’.  It is the group’s second NorthernBlues international release and in its first month received rave reviews internationally and domestically.  It was also most recently nominated for a 2009 Western Canadian Music Award for “Best Blues Recording”.  

Paying dues to the blues tradition, this international touring and recording group swings hard with two inspired vocalists, tightly woven harp & guitar lines, upright bass and a relentless driving rhythm section forging a smooth tight groove. 2003 Juno nominees and Canadian Independent Music Award winners for Best Blues Album of the Year, the Twisters are considered one of Canada’s greatest blues treasures.
