About

The Nomads

circa 1963
"Peter and Joe Jubb were members of the Nomads and probably started the band.Peter played Wurlitzer electric through a Silvertone amp. Joe played drums.Peter had a brand new midnight blue 1964 Plymouth Fury and soon got married he was around 19 three years older than the rest of us. The band auditioned a keyboard player but the focus faded and we were influenced predominantly by surf music which was great for me to learn lead .The band fizzled around 1964. So add Peter and Joe Jubb as the founding members of the Nomads. We wore Turbans which would not be politically correct today".
