Four suburban kids from just outside of Seattle have taken a little business sense, a lot of fun and added a bit of rock and roll.
The Grunge/Pop band "Moonshine Incident" doesn't look like your average rock band but that's the way they like it. Individual members of the band have been involved in other projects in the past. "We all started with a glimmer of fame and fortune in our eyes." Lead singer Ian Meek stated, "But your motivation has to be more than dollar signs." The guys from the "Moonshine Incident" started playing in bands in High School and beyond but never seemed to get anywhere until now.
Ian, JJ, Johnny "the Heartbreaker", and "Grand Master" Chad all knew that to make a band work they needed the perfect mix of discipline, desire, and music that gave them goose bumps. And after years of searching for just that, they found each other and are building a strong foundation for a music career that is already rising fast.
"We grew up hearing that Seattle was the big music town. We listened to bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Nirvana. We were romanced by the punk rock sounds of Rancid, and Social D. We loved the music of Green Day and PUSA. And later found ourselves enjoying bands like Radiohead, the White Stripes and Tool. We saw the scene change time and time again before our very eyes." Ian laments "But the future of the music scene is what we are really looking foreword too!"
With 15 show in their first 5 months under their belt they are ready to begin their first recording venture beyond a three-song demo. The album "Pass it on" pays homage to many different music styles but has a very "Moonshine Incident" sound. The CD is set to hit the general public in early October.
When you do get the chance to see them live you will notice that before the show they seem so calm, so nice and friendly. Then as soon as the lights go on and the music starts the suburbs inside of them get kicked to the street and you can just feel why this clean cut group of middle class jockeys were meant to rock the stage.
