Soul Station

Soul Station specializes in classic, soul-shakin' rhythm-and-blues and swing. The retro-cool repertoire is party music perfect for non-stop dancing. Soul Station performs famous tunes by such legends as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Wilson Pickett and other R & B heroes with gritty energy and passion. This was Joyce Allensen's first soul band after years of straight ahead rock - she came to this band from Mr. Puffy. Joyce is renowned as a raspy, no-nonsense soul belter with a dynamic stage presence. They recorded the CD "Five after 3:00am", a collection of classic soul music, at Oakstone Studios in View Royal.
