Event Description

Come all lovers and speakers of slam, style and substance.
Evening starts with the open spoken stage --5 minutes per speaker.
Followed by feature performer: slam poet & playwrite Chris Gilpin.

Chris Gilpin is a writer and performer, living in Vancouver, BC. In the summer of 2006, he completed a cross-Canada tour of Fringe theatre festivals, performing in the play that he also co-wrote called, “87% True : The Lies That Bind”. His literary work has been published in vancouveReview, Forget Magazine, 42opus, The GIG, and others. An insightful and poetic satirist, Chris weaves rich, imaginative commentaries on social mores, fixations and frustrations. His work can be found at www.chrisgilpin.com, along with the e-zine he edits, The Brazen Orchid.
