Event Description

on sale fri, oct 6 @ 10am

Dierks Bentley is the hottest young star in country music and is returning to Canada after last year’s sold out tour. His platinum-selling 2003 self-titled debut yielded the #1 smash “What Was I Thinkin’”, and his 2005’s follow-up Modern Day Drifter offered the multi-week #1 smashes “Come a Little Closer” and “Settle for a Slowdown”. Dierks was soon stockpiling awards, including CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Award in 2006 (just one year after picking up the 2005 CMA Horizon Award). Supporting tours for Kenny Chesney and George Strait have given way to his own string of sold-out headlining performances. His blistering live shows and marathon touring schedule have earned him a reputation as one of the hardest workers in the industry, while his latest Long Trip Alone showcases his unforced vocals, rip-roaring sound and a newfound range and depth to his songwriting. “Every Mile a Memory”, the first single from the new record, quickly soared into the top 10 of the country singles chart.

Doc Walker’s new single “Maria” is a feel-good summer anthem taken from the group’s forthcoming self-titled album. A country music band originally from Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Doc Walker has already collected a number of Canadian Country Music Awards, including the WCMA Entertainer of the Year Award as well as CCMA Group of the Year Award in 2004. Doc Walker has scored seven top 10 hits, such as “I Am Ready” and “The Show is Free” (both from the group’s 2003 record Everybody Aboard) and three Juno nominations.

Sinners Like Me, Eric Church’s debut album, features the defiantly blue-collar single “How ‘bout You”, along with an eclectic assembly of musicians, including Nickel Creek mandolinist Chris Thile. USA Today says the North Carolina musician writes of familiar country themes “with flair.” Eric Church is here on his debut Canadian tour.
