Wild Places, Wild Women: An Art for Good Exhibition

Event Description

We are Claudia Malacrida, Sheryl Parsons, Ann Perodeau, and Linda Urbinsky – landscape painters who have found new ways of being and understanding through painting the wild. For us, painting possibilities come from anywhere; from a surprising moment when the light hits the trees in just the right way, or a peaceful interlude as the fog clings gently to the water, creating mystery and calm. There are endless ways the wild can strike a chord and bring us back to the easel to try to capture nature’s “language”.

Wild spaces have touched and nurtured something deep in all of us, helping us to see a world that, despite our worst efforts, remains exquisitely beautiful. Nature is our muse, and it is our companion in rediscovering and reconnecting to our authentic selves. We paint these places in hopes of sharing the joy, inspiration and solace that nature gives us.

We also want to use our relationship with art and wilderness for good. A portion of proceeds from all sales will go towards your choice of four select charities, and in addition, each artist will have one painting up for silent auction that will go directly to the artist’s charity of choice. Our charities are: Helping Afghan Families, The Cridge Centre, Backpack Buddies, and UNICEF Ukraine Relief Fund.
